  2. ¶3       NWA IN DEEP SHIT?????

  4. ¶1Eazy has produced  Penthouse's  latest 
  5. 12".  Dre  goes to court against Eazy, 
  6. claiming  Eazy  for  stolen his money. 
  7. Well,  if you've  read many music mags 
  8. and  watched   MTV   lately,    you've 
  9. probably  noticed  that  rap group NWA 
  10. has  got  a   lot  of problems. When I 
  11. first  got to know all  the  romours I 
  12. didn't   really   know  if  I   should 
  13. believe  it  or  not. BUT, now that MC 
  14. Ren   and  Dr.Dre  have released their 
  15. solo  albums, many unanswered quesions 
  16. has  been  answered. Let's take a look 
  17. at them:

  19. First  out  is MC Ren's "Kizz My Black 
  20. AZZ".  This  isn't  really  the  final 
  21. resoult,  it's  just   six  songs from 
  22. the  upcoming  album  "Life Sentence". 
  23. The   first  song  on the album (after
  24. the intro)  is   "Behind  The Scenes".
  25. This is an  exiting  sexual experience
  26. on  a  funky  hardcore   instrumental.
  27. Next    out    is  "Final   Frontier",
  28. where  Ren  explains  how he kicks ass
  29. and   all   that.  I  think  that this
  30. song  could  be  taken straight out of 
  31. NWA    latest     CD    "Niggaz4life".
  32. Another   cool  song  is  "Right Up My 
  33. Alley".   In   this  song MC Ren talks 
  34. about   the    life   in   th  ghetto. 
  35. This     isn't     like    Grandmaster 
  36. Flash's   "The Message",   it's   more 
  37. violent:   "I   sell  my dope,  and  I 
  38. ain't   ashamed   to  say  it".   It's 
  39. straight    facts   all   the way, Ren 
  40. doesn't   attempt   to  hide anything. 
  41. Anyway,  in  my  opinion,  "Hounddogz" 
  42. is the  best song on the  CD  (or EP). 
  43. It  seems  to be    MC Ren's   version 
  44. of   Ice    Cube's  "Get   Off My Dick 
  45. And   Tell Yo Bitch".  If you've heard 
  46. it  you  know  what I'm talking about. 
  47. MC  Ren critizises those  who  used to 
  48. dis    him,   and now that he's famous 
  49. they   try    to    get  back  to  him 
  50. like   good   old friends.  On the 6th 
  51. and    last   song "Kizz My Black Azz" 
  52. he says:  "Some  of   them   are cool, 
  53. and  they  know  who they are,the ones 
  54. that   used   to    kick  it  with  me 
  55. when  I   couldn't   afford   a   car" 
  56. Anyway    the   last song is a musical 
  57. dissappointment. The CD/LP's executive 
  58. producer  is   Eazy-E,  something that 
  59. should  prove  that Eazy and Ren still 
  60. hang together.  Ren  has also got help 
  61. from  DJ Train,  Bobcat, and Tha Dirt- 
  62. biker.  I don't think he has forgotten 
  63. his  other   friends   either,  as  he 
  64. mentions  The  DOC  and Dr Dre in some
  65. of  the   songs.  The  cover  says  MC
  66. Ren   of   NWA,  so   it  doesn't look
  67. like   Ren  has  thought  about giving
  68. up NWA yet.
  69. If   you   liked  "Niggaz4life", then
  70. "Kizz  My  Black  Azz"  is   a   must.
  71. Don't  expect   any  love-songs,  just
  72. hardcore   lyrics  and  beats straight
  73. from the roots!

  76. ¶2Second out is Dr. Dre's "The Chronic".
  77. It contains 15 songs, and it lasts for
  78. about one hour.  Many  guest stars are
  79. also  featured: Snoop  Dog,  The  DOC,
  80. Korupt,  Jewell,  That Nigga Daz, RBX.
  81. The CD doesn't contain many songs like
  82. "Niggaz4life",   or   any  other   NWA
  83. products  for that  matter,  Dre  uses
  84. more   melodic  and a bit softer beats
  85. than   before.   This   especially  on
  86. "Let  me  Ride",  where he has sampled
  87. George      Clinton's      "Mothership
  88. Connection". Also on "Lil' Ghetto Boy"
  89. a   melodic  instrumental   is   used.
  90. Dre   hasn't  leaved  the  old gangsta
  91. style completely,  that he   proves on
  92. "A      nigga     witta    gun"    and
  93. "Rat-tat-tat-tat".   A lotta Ragga hip
  94. hop   is also used, check out "Lyrical
  95. Gangbang" and "The Day The Niggaz Took
  96. over". It's not pure dancehall, but it
  97. reminds  a  bit  about it anyway.
  98. It  seemes to be that Dre has given up
  99. NWA for good. Non of the other members
  100. of NWA are mentioned or given credits,
  101. so I don't think he will have anything
  102. to    do   with   Ren,  Eazy and Yella
  103. anymore. Dre's album  "The Chronic" is
  104. not  at  all as good as Ren's "Kizz My
  105. Black Azz". Dre is not as hardcore and
  106. underground as he once  was, the CD is
  107. a    bit   too  much  the same as many
  108. others.   An   example   on   this  is
  109. "Nuthin But a G Thang"  If  I  had  to
  110. choose    between  MC Ren  and  Dr.Dre
  111. I'd   gon  for MC Ren, even if it only
  112. contains six songs.

  116. ¶1For those who hasn't heard much of  NWA
  117. I  can    recommend  "Straight    outta
  118. Compton", "100  Miles And Runnin'"  and
  119. the    last,   "Niggaz4life".     These
  120. contain classic  cuts  like  "Fuck  The
  121. Police", "Express Yourself",  "Appetite
  122. For  Destruction"   and  "Alwayz   into
  123. somethin'"
